Summary
The Transportation Manager is responsible for the management of all transportation related operations with multiple partner carriers utilized within Kering. This role will oversee staff, perform cost analysis with respect to all partner carrier rates, and manage expectations for shippers, stores, and carriers. This role will include internal collaboration with Supply Chain, Procurement, and our 3rd Party Logistics provider to understand transportation capacity needs by lane, align on strategies to procure third party capacity, ensure effective on time pickup and delivery and collaborate to address productivity and service challenges.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
  • Plan, organize and manage staff to ensure timely completion of tasks within company and brand standards
  • Collaborate with team and brand partners to implement transportation related procedures and service objectives
  • Monitor support provided to retail locations within the group to ensure management to completion within SLAs
  • Research transportation processes and costs to identify opportunities to improve network efficiency and implement corrective actions to manage budget
  • Develop policies and procedures to handling transportation issues and delayed shipments
  • Create and manage daily KPIs to ensure the efficient management of external Transportation partners
  • Monitor and audit compliance with security, safety and environmental sustainability requirements
  • Lead projects to ensure business continuity, process improvement and cost-savings of transportation flows
  • Communicate with Senior partners both internal and external to convey performance and transportation related updates
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and develop talent within team


WHO YOU ARE
  • Bachelor's Degree; Logistics or Supply Chain Management concentration a plus
  • 5-7 years related experience in Logistics or Transportation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority
  • Proactive problem solver with the ability to independently deep dive into issues, analyze and identify solutions
  • Ability to build partnerships and create efficiencies
  • Ability to multi-task, effectively plan and execute strategies within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Proficient in MS Office Software; Microsoft PowerBI or SQL a plus
