Position Title: Analyst, Coach Japan Retail Finance

Reports to: Manager, CJ Retail Finance

Location: Tokyo

Primary Purpose: To support financial forecasting Coach Japan topline sales and gross margin as well as Regional consolidation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reporting, Analysis and Planning of Coach Japan Business
    • Support in periodic reporting (monthly / quarterly / annually) of Coach Japan
    • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting relevant to the covered markets / brands to

support management decision making / fulfil request from business partners
    • Support creation of bottom-up sales plans/forecast for Coach Japan by Sales Channel
    • Support development of company-wide annual forecast and Long Range Plan

  • Tracking and Communication of Coach Japan Sales Performance
  • Synthesizes and explains daily/weekly performance and variances against plans/targets past results for regular review by leadership teams
  • Shares and communicates plans and variances to key business partners to ensure appropriate product planning/buying and expense planning

  • Supporting Regional Consolidation
    • Support to prepare the business review deck/reports for leadership teams
    • Prepare various quarterly reports for New York HQ
    • Support to prepare ad-hoc analysis/report for APAC region

  • Proven analytical and logical/critical thinking
  • MS Excel - Advanced (Vlookup, Sumif)
  • Business (N1) level Japanese with low-business level of English (listening/reading) is a must (speaking/ writing preferred)
  • Excellent communication ability towards peers, and senior management
  • Ability to build trust relationship with internal partners/ team player
  • Strong professional presence

Education/Qualifications [preferred]:
  • 2+ years of Corporate Finance, FP&A or consulting, or relevant experience in financial institutions
  • University degree in Finance, Economics
  • CPA or CFA qualifications are a plus
