Job Details
AMIRI is seeking a talented and innovative Denim Developer to join our team in Milan. As a Denim Developer, you will play a crucial role in creating and developing denim products that align with our brand's vision. You will be responsible for researching trends, sourcing materials, and collaborating with our design and production teams to bring exceptional denim products to market.
Duties:
- Responsible for follow up and keeping a clear overview on the development process from sketch to finished product.
- Key focus on that price & quality standard are successfully met in all steps of the process
- Responsible for managing the T&A and making sure that product is in time for all key deadlines
- Working closely with cross-functional partners in design & wash, tech, merch and operations teams to ensure all KPI’s are fulfilled.
- Working closely with fabric&wash factories on new fabric developments and innovations.
- Key contact point for suppliers
- Have experience in PLM/PDM/PLM/SAP or other product management systems
- Send tech-pack allocations to the suppliers with the supervision of the Global VP Development
- Graphic reviewing in collaboration with US graphic team
- Help the daily follow up with factories, to help finding solutions from Proto Stage to final sms (for example, fill weight, graphic positioning, garment constructions, finishings, etc)
- Travel with the design team to the factories for fittings once every 2 months
- Helping the design team in keeping update the lineplans with style numbers, daily updates, fabric codes
- Create Tech packs and Bill of Material
- Send fitting notes to the factories, help in translation, and fixing all the tech pack after the last round of fitting before SMS
- Meet weekly with managers to provide a status update on projects
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in ITALIAN/ENGLISH
- Degree within fashion/industrial design/textile
- At least 5 Years of experience in Luxury fashion development
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Fashion Product/Component knowledge
- Keep attention to details
- Computer and math skills
- Excellent problem solving Skills
- Excellent use of the Adobe suite (Illustrator,Photoshop,inDesign)
- Excellent use of Office suite (Excel- PLM)
- Ability to use measuring devices
- Documentation and reporting skills
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Willingness to travel
