Burberry is looking for a Compliance Governance Specialist to join the team, focusing on our Payroll activities across the UK and wider EMEIA (Europe, Middle East, India & Africa) region. Acting as governance lead and SME across EMEIA Payroll, you will be the expert in data integrity, compliance and process control to ensure our payroll data is protected and managed effectively and compliantly.

This Compliance Governance Specialist role is offered on a full time, permanent basis. We're flexible as to where you are based, however some travel to our London or Leeds office is required.


  • Develop process controls and ways of working which promote timely and accurate delivery of payroll data to suppliers and in the business
  • Act as focal point for advice and compliance on data protection
  • Control access levels to payroll data and reporting
  • Act as governance control on procedures and practices across EMEIA
  • Assist with the provision of data in audits
  • You will show innovation in helping to implement improvements across the team


  • Experience in a role that has included data integrity, governance, data protection and/or data analytics
  • Experience within a relevant control or payroll/HR environment
  • Desire to develop in a growing role and to understand payroll operations across a number of Burberry markets
  • Effective governance standards
  • Solution focused outlook using continuous improvement approach to working practices
