Onsite in (North) Jacksonville
Primary Purpose:
The HR Associate will provide first line HR support to our onsite teams in the Jacksonville Fulfillment Center to ensure success in daily business operations. The HR Associate will play a key role across the core HR functions including onboarding and orientation, recruitment, employee engagement, records management and employee relations. Recruitment/Onboarding
- Support hiring managers during the recruitment process - screen resumes, schedule interviews, assist in selection, and coordinate offers
- Complete onboarding tasks including I-9 verifications and employee ID cards
- Schedule and facilitate orientation for all new hires
- Liaise with leadership and security for administration of badging process for building access and timekeeping
Client Support
- Actively pursue knowledge of business practices, policies, organization structure, roles and responsibilities to better understand the business
- Build relationships with employees of all levels; be available and responsive to requests and inquiries
- Plan and facilitate events, engagement activities and recognition programs
- Create training materials and lead training sessions for people managers and employees on employee benefits, systems and policies
Employee Relations
- Maintain a positive employee relations environment through Tapestry's Open Door Policy
- Partner with HR Partners and leadership to investigate and address employee relations issues
- Participate in coaching, counseling and development conversations
Performance Management
- Provide support for the Performance Management (PM) process via communication of deadlines, scheduling groups for PM activities and monitoring completion rates
- Coach people managers regarding policies and procedures; ensure policies are administered fairly and consistently
- Review Corrective Actions and partner with people managers on the corrective action delivery process
HR General
- Ensure confidentiality and proper retention of HR department records, employee files and HRIS uploads
- Maintain reporting measures for corrective actions, terminations and recruitment
- Calculate and distribute turnover metrics
- Manage HR communication channel; create content, post updates and review content regularly to ensure relevance
- Update existing HR department SOPs and create new SOPs as required
- Participate in and/manage additional administrative tasks and special projects
The accomplished individual will possess...
- Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years' experience in Human Resources field (preferred experience supporting a distribution and/or manufacturing organization)
- HR experience required (recruitment, employee relations, coaching/counseling)
- Excellent attention to detail, superior communication, customer service and follow-up skills
- High degree of self-motivation and accountability with the ability to handle confidential materials
- Knowledge of and experience with HR systems, competencies, and best practices
- Flexible and adaptable to changing business requirements, demonstrating a high degree of urgencyand the ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent computer proficiency: Word, Excel, and Internet proficiency
- Ability to work flexible hours - evening and weekend
- Exposure to manufacturing or fulfillment/distribution operations, a plus.
- Bi-lingual Spanish preferred
