Position Overview
This role would suit a Tax Specialist with strong compliance and reporting experience. You will be required to manage the corporate tax cycle - including computations, advice, tax disclosures for accounts and quarterly forecasting, along with managing the organisations relationship with tax authorities and being a good point of contact for external advisers. You will also be required to communicate and liaise with local and group finance teams. You will work directly with the Global Transfer Pricing Lead and the global tax team members. You may currently work in-house or in a large accountancy practice - and It is likely you will be ACA, ICAS or CTA qualified (or equivalent)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Oversee and manage tax compliance across European territories: accurate preparation and filing of corporate tax computations for EMEA Group entities and liaison with external advisors. · Leading the delivery of quarterly and full year Group consolidated tax reporting under US GAAP. · Supporting EMEA entities with tax accounting and notes for stand-alone financial statements, ensure timely and efficient delivery of tax statutory audit. · Support in external relationships with tax authorities in delivering the EMEA companies' obligations. · Obtain/renew EMEA residence certificates as required. · Tax Authority enquiry support across the EMEA region. · Contribute to an effective risk and controls framework for tax including collaboration with internal stakeholders and Internal Audit function. · Keeping up to date with EMEA tax rules, understanding the potential impact and communicating them to stakeholders. · Work with business and support teams to ensure that both ongoing needs and ad-hoc requests are met in a timely and appropriate manner. · Responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of tax governance processes and controls including Tax strategy, MDR, Tax Control Framework and Operating Guidelines. · Will work with the tax team on Pillar 1 & 2 impact analysis and reporting.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
· Strong technical expertise, ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified etc. Minimum of 5-7 cycles of experience with a corporate tax compliance and reporting focus evidenced by appropriate experience and professional qualifications · Knowledge of ERP systems and tax compliance and reporting software solutions. Proficiency in the usage of IT tools · Ability to manage a variable and diverse workload covering multiple jurisdictions · Good communications skills, both with tax and non-tax specialists · Personable character, good ability to be persuasive and persistent in obtaining information · Team player, must have a "can do" and enthusiastic attitude and be able to work independently on assigned tasks · Ability to learn and develop expertise with the right support · Fluent in English (additional languages being a plus)
