Job Overview:

The Manager of Selling Effectiveness is responsible for maximizing our Bloomingdale's service & selling culture by supporting the execution of key initiatives throughout the year.

Essential Functions:

Selling Calendar Optimization: Maximizes human/promotional calendar opportunities through thoughtful selling strategy & communication i.e Mother's Day, Gift Card Events, BCC events, etc; Creatively pursues ways to develop selling effectiveness content for seasonal selling & service campaigns. i.e. Holidays, fashion/trend, etc.

Selling Effectiveness Leadership: Leads selling effectiveness efforts for functional service & selling priorities i.e. Full-Service Selling, bHelpful experience, return experience, traffic & conversion, new store openings.

Loyalty Program Selling: Activates selling through our Loyallist program and Bloomingdale's Credit Card; Partners with Loyalty Marketing team to support customer acquisition & retention.

Outreach Calendar Planning: In collaboration with the Selling Strategy team, owns the planning, execution, & analysis of the outreach calendar. Works with data analytics to build intuitive customer segment lists to maximize outreach impact.

Team Collaboration: Works in collaboration with CXS partners to ensure Selling Effectiveness strategies are supported and connected to other initiatives; Collaborates with Education, Communication teams and other central partners to ensure that training and communication materials across pyramids deliver a consistent selling effectiveness message.

Content Management:

Maintains the Selling Effectiveness SharePoint pages to ensure it is a consistently reliable and creditable resource.

Qualifications and Competencies:

We encourage candidates with either a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field to apply

3-5 years related experience
  • Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs

Physical Requirements:
  • Requires periods of walking, standing, communicating, reaching, crouching and climbing ladders
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
  • Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs
