Job Overview:

The Financial Analyst will be directly responsible for forecasting, planning, budgeting and managing expense processes for specific central support areas. The Financial Analyst will be the primary point of contact for warehouse supply chain expense and revenue generation, vendor sourcing, central travel. They will liaise with corporate internal audit following their engagements to insure improved processes are identified and adopted by the organization. The Financial Analyst will develop strategic plans for savings initiatives seasonally.

Essential Functions:
  • Collaborate with internal partners to develop Annual/Seasonal plans
  • Leverage analytics to identify opportunities for cost savings
  • Provide guidance in season to ensure established budgets are achieved
  • Liaise with Macy's Supply Chain and Travel divisions to develop strategies to maximize revenue and identify expense savings initiatives
  • Analyze company spend patterns to identify risks and opportunities to drive bottom line results. Proactively partner with internal customers to discover sourcing opportunities, uncover new/diverse suppliers

Qualifications and Competencies:
  • We encourage candidates with either a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field to apply
  • 1-2 years related experience
  • Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
  • Highly proficient in Excel, ability to write VBA code a plus
  • Experience with Oracle systems, OneStream platforms and SQL a plus
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs
