Overview

Tiffany & Company is expanding our footprint into new markets in Latin America and the Caribbean. We are actively looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to support our growing Tiffany & Co. Latin America team, on a temporary basis. The Temporary Staff Accountant will be based out of our office in Coral Gables, Florida and will support the coordination and control of the accounting function for new markets in the region. "New markets" are defined as all Latin America markets, excluding Brazil, Mexico and Chile.

Location : Coral Gables, Florida

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing journal entries, analysis, and account reconciliations
  • Assisting with monthly close processes
  • Maintaining financial reports and general ledger accounts
  • Contributing to the development, and review, of annual operating budgets and performance projections
  • Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury, as well as conducting internal audits
  • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audit processes
  • Ensuring compliance with GAAP and/ or IFRS
  • Assisting the Accounting Manager with ad hoc tasks, as needed
  • Supporting the Accounting Manager to ensure local, and group, accounting and tax obligations are controlled in the new markets of the Region


Required Qualifications
  • Bi-lingual English and Spanish
  • 3+ years of experience in the Accounting and Finance field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration. Master's degree preferred, but not required
  • Ability to commute, and work in office, at the Tiffany & Co. office in Coral Gables

Personal skills
  • Strong knowledge in FP&A
  • Proven organizational abilities that enables the person to establish and achieve organizational goals
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within, or cultural working knowledge, of Latin America
  • Proficient with JDE E1
