About the Role

As part of reshaping the future of Finance, Gap Inc. is embarking on a digital and process transformation within the Finance organization. The RPA Developer candidate will have extensive knowledge of Robotics Process Automation technologies and frameworks, and will be responsible for designing and implementing RPA solutions to automate business processes. The successful individual has a transformation delivery background, with a focus on end-to-end process design. The candidate is a strong change driver and can navigate a complex organization.

You will be a key member of the Finance Transformation team and report directly to the Director - Finance Transformation.

What You'll Do

  • Process Automation Design and Development -Design, develop, and implement RPA solutions using UiPath, MS Power tools to automate repetitive and rule-based tasks within the finance organization.
  • Integration with financial systems - Collaborate with the finance and IT teams to integrate RPA solutions with existing financial systems, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software.
  • Continuous Improvement and Optimization - Implement enhancements to existing RPA solutions to ensure they remain effective and aligned with evolving business requirements.
  • Automation testing - Conduct thorough testing of RPA solutions to ensure they meet the specified requirements and are free of errors.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and operations, to ensure the successful deployment and integration of RPA solutions.
  • Create technical documentation for RPA implementation, including design documents, technical specifications, and user guides
  • Analyze and migrate existing automations from one environment (Ex : Blue prism to Uipath) to another
  • Provide recommendations to optimize RPA solution performance
  • Maintain and manage the RPA Infrastructure setup
  • Setup Bot performance metrics. Prepare and report Bot performance Dashboards


Who You Are

  • Comprehensive understanding of finance processes (OTC, PTP, RTR, Expense life cycle) and statements including balance sheets, general ledgers and the entire financial close process
  • High level of individual accountability and the ability to influence others while maintaining key relationships in the business
  • High level of emotional intelligence and be able to work under strict deadlines
  • Anticipate operational/program issues and develops preventative measures
  • Effective communication, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to identifying automation opportunities are crucial for an RPA developer in a Finance transformation team.
  • Experience in process mapping, process design, and process re-engineering
  • Knowledge about emerging tech related to Intelligent automation, IDR & AI
  • Proficient with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
  • Experience in working with SQL database.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
