Overview: The Director Finance-Americas will lead and manage the Americas Finance team. The Director will oversee the management of the P&L for the Americas and ensure resources are allocated in the most productive way. The Director will also oversee the development of the Capital Plan, the Budget and revisions for the Americas, including US, Canadian Retail, DM/Ecommerce, and Business Sales. The position is also responsible for driving greater efficiency and profitability within the region by ensuring that the cost structures of the various business channels are optimized for productivity and profitability.

Key Accountabilities:

Provide direct support for the VP CFO Americas
  • Provide business insights and analysis on current performance of business
  • Develop and maintain relationships with members of management throughout the Americas to ensure spend is aligned with budget and current business conditions

Lead and deliver the region annual Financial Budgets
  • Lead in the development of the Capital Plan, the Budget and Budget revisions for America's.
  • Organize, influence and recommend business decisions regarding the region's resource allocation process

Drive efficiency and profitability
  • Conduct monthly business reviews with members of the America's leadership team with the goal of discussing the current and future status of the business (both financially and operationally) as well as improving overall financial acumen.
  • Lead and partner with Global and regional departments on initiatives/projects that seek to drive efficiency and profitability
  • Lead and direct team to continuously seek out process improvement initiatives through the network to drive optimal productivity and profitability
  • Liaise and coordinate activities among various regions functions including Real Estate, Store Planning, Merchandising, Marketing, IT, Finance, and Controller's organization.


Required Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of Financial Planning and Analysis / Accounting experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to work with senior management
  • Ability to work on multiple, complex projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines
  • Experience coaching and managing employees at the analyst and management level
  • Ability to work independently with limited oversight/direction
  • Creative thinker with a willingness to challenge the current way of doing things; ability and willingness to drive change
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and technology tools such as Business Objects

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA
  • Retail industry experience
  • International business experience


The hiring range for this position ranges from $144,670 - $204,240. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience. Management is also eligible for bonus.
