Job Details

Tiffany & Co. is seeking a dynamic and experienced intern, with an entrepreneurial spirit and self-starting approach, strong analytical skills, and passion for jewelry to join our Jewelry Concepts Category Management team. The intern will support and partner with the CM Analysts and Manager with the development of reports and presentations, such as collection trend reports and overviews.

Responsibilities:

The intern will develop a knowledge of the category, including sales, competition, and trends.

New Product:
  • Support the creation and maintenance of product plans throughout various stages of development, ensuring accuracy of item detail.
  • Research product offerings to aid with the initiation of new product development to ensure the product strategy remains robust and competitive.
  • Analyze classification, price point and sales trends to inform decisions on new product
  • Ensure critical SKU level details within category architectures are systematically maintained

Pricing:
  • Support the Category Management team in efforts to conduct analysis and gather comparable product information to inform retail, cost and margin targets as well as final retails for new products.

Competitive Analysis
  • Conduct competitive market research on a regular basis
  • Conduct analysis and gather comparable product information to inform retail, cost and margin targets as well as final retails for new products.

Sample Management:
  • Coordinate, manage, and maintain security of samples/stock according to inventory control process requirements

Cross-Functional Communication
  • Prepare product category reviews and meeting materials as well as assist with other administrative tasks and projects as needed to respond to business needs.
  • Maintain and distribute product plans and competitive landscape reporting as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Overall knowledge of the retail industry/luxury jewelry
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a highly dynamic, fast paced and team-oriented environment
  • Ability to manage and uphold departmental standards and business direction
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to learn new software/systems and adopt new processes
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

The hiring range for this position ranges from $25/hour. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience.
