Position Title: Retail Marketing (Sales Promotion) , Assistant Manager

Reports to: Senior Manager, Planning & Strategy/Brand Marketing/Marketing

Location: Tokyo

Primary Purpose: Acquire new customer and strengthen brand engagement through retail store communication. Deliver consistent story telling brand message to consumer through retail communication based on consumer first mindset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and activate retail consumer communication by story tell consistent brand message based on consumer first mindset to lead conversion.


Retail Store Communication 35%
  • Execute store sign with global team and local vendor
  • Manage store video content with global team
  • Support and develop store promotion when necessary


Retail DPS Communication 35%
  • Create key brand message visual and text assets based on brand campaign
  • Poof read for retail communication message based on marketing point of view
  • Support campaign asset development and tool kit to global team by PRF, e-mail, etc
  • Edit campaign visual/movie asset for each platform. Co-work with local vendors to insert Japanese subtitles, resizes, etc.
  • Closely work with RF team to define and place DPS media including OOH


Outpost/Retail Pop-up 20%
  • Lead planning and execution for consumer & customer activation for outpost/pop-up .
  • Establish story telling marketing communication message and visual
  • Maximize the announcement on retail property media placements (indoor/outdoor, print/digital, SNS)
  • Prepare suitable visual/movie assets for each placement
  • Create the decks for planning and recap. Analyze the result with data and questionaries from the store feedback.
  • Clear internal communication by store guideline deck
  • Project management


Budget 10%
  • Keep budget properly
  • Create PO and budget system operation through buying hub, etc.


Education/Qualifications/Experience/ Competency:

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • Strong written skills in both Japanese and English. Strong business oral and communication in Japanese. Preferred business oral and communication in English
  • Minimum 3-5 years or more of retail marketing business experience in prestige/luxury brands/DPS field retail brands
  • Marketing promotion planning and execution experience. Prepare marketing promotion tool working with global team and local vendors
  • Retail media placement experience for luxury brands, DPS retail fields, etc. Knowledge about retail indoor outdoor digital/ print media, and proof read as luxury brand is preferred
  • Business communication experience with vendor, store, and internal cross functional teams
  • High level of business presentation and analysis material creation skill by Power Point and Excel in Japanese must and English preferred


  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Flexibility for fast-paced changing business direction
  • Project management skill to collaborate with cross functional teams
