Role Mission

The Client Event and Experience Manager is a pivotal role within Gucci, focused on accelerating the brand's clienteling strategies in the market. Reporting to the Client Engagement Vice President in Tokyo, this role involves developing and executing client paths, enhancing experiences, and contributing to local growth. The incumbent will strategically manage client engagement, foster extensive collaboration with various cross-functional teams, and drive innovation to foster new client acquisition and strengthen the client base. Additionally, the role includes overseeing all Gucci store events and VIP events, with a strong emphasis on cross-functional collaboration.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Client Development:

  • Develop and execute client paths aligned with the brand and company's strategy to contribute to local growth.
  • Mine new clients and create efficient plans to elevate brand image and client relations in line with local ambitions.


Client Engagement Planning:
  • Build engagement plans that surprise and delight clients, leading to the upgrading, expansion, and retention of a strong loyal clientele pool.
  • Lead the strategy and high-level management of top-tier client segments in collaboration within Client Engagement Div , Retail, and the Store Network


Event Management:
  • Plan and execute all Gucci store events, ensuring they align with the brand's image and contribute to the overall client experience.
  • Organize and manage VIP events, providing exclusive and personalized experiences for high-end clients.
  • Collaborate with other teams to promote and create awareness around events.


Localization and Collaboration:
  • Translate global directions into impactful local experiential plans and activities.
  • Work closely with Retail and e-Com teams (office and store) to ensure seamless engagement with omni-channel clients.
  • Collaborate with CRM to translate data into concrete plans and with MD teams to ensure the voice of core high-end client segments is reflected in the offer.


Innovation and Collaboration:
  • Proactively pursue external collaborations and explore new engagement avenues, with a focus on digital, to foster new client acquisition and develop a stronger client base.


Requirements - Key behavioral competencies - basics

  • High proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
  • Fluency in both Japanese and English.
  • Strong business acumen in marketing, retail, hospitality, and/or customer-related businesses.
  • Luxury and/or fashion experience, a plus.


Additional Requirements:
  • Proven experience in event management, particularly in organizing high-profile and luxury events will be a plus
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple events concurrently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and creativity in event planning.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in enhancing brand image through innovative event strategies.
