Role mission

The Store Director for Gucci Ginza Namiki Store is responsible for overseeing the overall management of the store, ensuring operational excellence, and driving business growth. This role requires a candidate with extensive experience in store management, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships. The Store Director will be responsible for implementing and executing the special concept store strategy, which includes a restaurant component.


Leadership and Team Management
  • Provide effective leadership to the store team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Set performance expectations, provide coaching and feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Develop and nurture a high-performing team by recruiting, training, and developing talented individuals.

Store Operations Management
  • Oversee all aspects of the store's daily operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Drive sales and profitability by setting sales targets, monitoring KPIs, and implementing strategies to achieve goals.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards to enhance the brand's image and optimize the customer experience.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock audits, and collaborate with relevant departments to ensure adequate stock availability.

Client Relationship Development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing personalized service and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.
  • Develop strategies to attract new clients and maximize sales opportunities through effective clienteling techniques.
  • Leverage client data and feedback to identify opportunities for business growth and enhance the client experience.
  • Host special events and initiatives to engage with clients and drive store traffic.

Special Concept Store Management
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to execute the special concept store strategy, including the restaurant component.
  • Ensure seamless integration between the retail and restaurant operations, creating a cohesive and immersive customer experience.

Financial Management
  • Develop and manage the store's budget, including sales targets, expenses, and profitability.
  • Analyze sales and financial reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Implement cost-control measures and optimize store efficiency to maximize profitability.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Store Manager or Director in a luxury retail environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Solid understanding of luxury retail and customer service principles.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to analyze sales data and financial reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales and achieve targets.
  • Knowledge of visual merchandising and store operations best practices.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with the restaurant industry is a plus.
  • Fluency Japanese for effective communication with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
