General Overview: Danielle Frankel is seeking a full time Alterations Manager to meet with clients in the atelier and execute alterations at the highest level. This person should have expertise in fitting bridal gowns and evening wear.  The atelier does custom alterations for each garment to ensure the perfect fit for each client. This role requires customer facing etiquette that is calm and presentable, as well as a sensitivity to client feedback. Must be able to communicate with clients clearly and comfortable working in person in a high stress environment.  

Responsibilities:

  • Meet in person with clients for their alteration appointments in studio
  • Walk the client through the fitting process and ensure that they are comfortable 
  • Execute the fitting in the time allotted (1 hour appointments), this includes, measurements, pinning and preparing garments for seamstresses to sew
  • Steam & prepare gowns and accessories prior to fitting appointments
  • Take clear, concise notations during the fitting to pass to the atelier team - including taking all relevant photos needed
  • Review garments after the alterations are completed to ensure that all changes were made correctly
  • Oversee of calendar related to deadlines for each fitting and work with Atelier Director to ensure timely execution of all alterations
  • Clients generally have 1-3 fittings depending on the garment and client satisfaction
  • Manage calendar for fittings
  • Work with the sales and production teams to ensure details (such as customizations) of the gowns are executed properly upon fitting with the client
