2024 Tapestry Internship Program Overview:

Our 10-week Summer 2024 Internship Program will give undergraduates, masters students, recent graduates and those actively enrolled in a specialized/technical certification program the opportunity to develop critical skillsets and gain hands-on experience at our house of modern luxury lifestyle brands. There will be internship opportunities available at Coach, kate spade, Stuart Weitzman and within our Tapestry Functional Groups.

Program Dates : June 4th, 2024 - August 9th, 2024

Work structure: Hybrid (Tuesday-Thursday in office)

Location: New York City offices

Compensation : $20/hour

    Job Title: Accounting Internship

    Primary Purpose: The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Accounting to work within either the Coach, kate spade, Stuart Weitzman, or the Tapestry corporate teams.

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
    • Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication skills
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Ability to prioritize, adapt and handle multiple tasks

    The accomplished individual may possess the ability to...
    • Support Tapestry's annual profitability benchmarking exercise, which entails detailed quantitative and qualitative research to establish acceptable levels of taxable income under Transfer Pricing principles for Tapestry's global operations.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to document current industry and economic trends in Tapestry's operating jurisdictions globally.
    • Ensure retail sales and payments are recorded accurately in the general ledger.
    • Reconcile cash and credit card receivable accounts.
    • Investigate cash deposit overages/shortages. Ensure incident reports are filed and communicated to Loss Prevention.
    • Track and report expenses related to our business processes.
    • Work directly in our system to automate accounting and reporting of key areas of spend.
    • Support the financial close process through partnerships formed with the accounting team.
