Job Details

We are currently looking for a SALES MANAGER to join our dynamic team based in Dubai and to be the engine behind all sales related activities in the company. The world is your platform, and you thrive when working in an international environment inclusive of team members from all parts of the globe.

The relevant candidate will be responsible for the overall management of our B2B Sales Team and Agents’ network in addition to growing the existing showroom / agency network globally, from our head quarter in Dubai. He or she will meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives, and already has a proven track record and experience of scaling sales, preferably with a Summer/Resort wear brand, at a global scale.

As Sales Manager, you will need to have an entrepreneurial spirit and a drive to succeed with everything you do in life. It’s a hands-on role and as head of Sales you are expected to be the number one performer. You head up the team elegantly and inspire them to be the best version of themselves at all times and in the best team spirit no matter what the challenges are. You are a true believer in that “teamwork makes the dreamwork”!

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Achieve growth by successfully managing the sales team/agents/showrooms globally. Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence in all desired markets. Define the approach for the overall sale of new business and account retention at both B2B & B2C. Develop a comprehensive sales and distribution strategy to maximize sales opportunities. Develop sales and distribution policies that reflect the organization's goals, in line with company’s ethics and values. Collaborate with Founder, CEO and team members from the marketing team to penetrate key markets, in the most cost efficient and impactful way. Sourcing and monitoring of sales agents/showrooms globally. Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status. Outline objectives in key target areas such as sales volume, market share, distribution channels, and profit margins. Ensure Scarlett Poppies will participate in the most relevant tradeshows across the globe. Manage key accounts. Business travel and head up tradeshows and all preparations behind the scenes. Manage all communication and sales through our internal CRM system including goals, reporting and seasonal targets This is a perfect opportunity to become a part of fast-developing fashion business.

Requirements

Experience and Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Business Management, or similar. 3-5 years as Sales Manager within multinational wholesale clothing and/or apparel/ retail environment is a must. Existing contacts and network within the industry preferable but not a must Skills

Good understanding and experience in Fashion/ Clothing / Retail environment. Advanced skills in MS Office and knowledge of accounting for reporting purposes. Strong ability to organize effectively, delegate responsibility, solve problems quickly and communicate clearly. Good leadership skills, including the ability to manage time effectively and handle both internal and external conflicts. Good interpersonal and can help build strong teams within a business and ensure work functions are performed successfully. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Positive energy to get every task done independently on time with accuracy. Must have a good and clear vision, aligned with the brand. Good understanding for modern digital marketing and how to make optimized use of it as a fashion brand at B2C and B2B level.

Scarlett Poppies collections are designed to transcend seasons; premium quality garments to be kept as treasured keepsakes for a long time ahead.

The very first resort wear collection was launched in July 2020. We launch three collections a year and each collection has around 50 styles across 100-120 SKU’s. We have a global outreach and sell in approximately 200 retail stores and boutiques around the globe, ranging from premium boutique hotels located at sunny destinations to iconic department stores at the very heart of their cities.

Our business emphasis is on B2B rather than D2C. We believe in being teamed up with the right retails partners giving a voice to the brand far beyond just a beautiful product and to offer the desired service that a Scarlett Poppies customer deserves.

The majority of B2B sales is generated by a network of independent agents across the globe, from US to Germany and Scandinavia, England and Greece. We also have our own inhouse sales team operating from our head quarter in Dubai and covering Middle East and direct sales in areas where we are not yet having any agent.

Another stream of business revenue comes from participating in the most relevant trade shows for resort wear, such as Miami Cabana and Splash Paris. We also showcase at other conventional trade shows such as Coterie in New York, Who’s Next in Paris, Revolver in Copenhagen, Modefabriek in Amsterdam and Scoop in London as well as the smaller scale regional trade shows.

To scale the business from here, we are looking at teaming up with more agents with the right network and access to department stores and strategically important market places, relevant distributors and to open retails stores either as mono-brand stores or franchise stores.

We are currently also running a pilot run for a ready to wear collection to bridge the gap between “endless summer” and the reality of the climate where many of our customers live. What ultimately unites all products designed and made by Scarlett Poppies, is the emphasis on premium quality, how they are made and that the garments should be timeless, beautiful and catering to women of different ages.
