COPERNI is a French ready-to-wear and accessories brand founded in 2013 by Arnaud Vaillant and Sébastien Meyer.

Mainly inspired by technology and craftsmanship, the brand mixes luxurious elements with futuristic concepts and reinvents a modern approach to fashion.

Renowned for its remarkable fashion shows, notably the spray-on dress worn by Bella Hadid, the Robots show, and innovative digital campaigns, COPERNI is one of the most avant-garde brands in the fashion landscape.

The brand is now sold through 300 retailers around the world and has launched its first retail store at Printemps Haussmann in Paris in August 2023.

We are looking for our next leather goods designer, based in Paris. Start date: May 2024.


The designer will be responsible for the following missions under the direction of the head of design:

·       Designing your category while maintaining consistency with the COPERNI Collection as a whole and meeting the artistic requirements for the show and commercial brief.

·       Gaining an understanding of COPERNI’s DNA, customer, and brand positioning, including market research in COPERNI and competitor stores.

·       Conducting vintage research to discover new concepts linked to our codes.

·       Create mood boards, colour and texture simulations, shadows, shapes, materials, and techniques in Photoshop and Illustrator.

·       Collaborating closely with other design team members across categories to create a robust collection.

·       Work on developing concepts, mock-ups, visuals, and 2D and 3D files for new projects.

·       Spot opportunities for new shapes and products to enhance the current range.

·       Produce technical drawings and launch sheets for all styles.

·       Produce a technical sheet. ensure follow-up with manufacturers and travel as needed to monitor prototypes.

·       Quality control during fittings.

·       Regularly update the collection plan as the collection progresses.


The candidate:

·       Ideally, you must have at least 4 years of experience working with various brands in the luxury industry.

·       Pro-active and creative.

·       Passionate about design and fashion.

·       Fluent in English.

·       Able to multitask and have the flexibility to work in a team or individually as needed.

·       Excellent communication skills.

·       Customer knowledge of luxury brands and awareness of costs and competitors.

·       Keen to contribute ideas.

·       Strong skills in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

·       Able to identify emerging trends and interpret them for commercial product ranges.
