Job Details

We are looking for a highly organized, entrepreneurial, and proactive individual to join our team on a full time basis, based in our studio in New York City. Responsible for managing the entire production process from start to finish across multiple categories, you will be an instrumental part of driving the brand forward as well as spearheading sustainable production practices throughout our supply chain.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

  • Partner with Head of Design on seasonal product development needs, including sourcing of fabrics, trims, etc.
  • Vendor outreach as needed for new developments or product categories
  • Attending trade shows and vendor appointments for research and development purposes.  
  • Maintain good relationships with vendors and work collaboratively to source new requests initiated by seasonal design concepts.
  • Maintain product development cost sheets in conjunction with design.
  • Manage and lead weekly WIP meetings throughout the entire product life cycle

PO MANAGEMENT ANALYSIS AND TRACKING

  • Issue All Bulk POs to factories once sales/ecomm has confirmed the buy 
  • Analyze previous sales reports to assist sales/ecomm in informing the buy
  • Following Bulk PO, Manage ordering and tracking for all corresponding production materials, including packaging, fabric, and core components (trim, labels & hang tags, branded materials) 

CALENDAR MANAGEMENT AND TRACKING

  • Build and maintain Time and Action Calendars, Production Schedules and Tracking
  • Communication with factories, warehouse, freight forwarders, sales representatives, and various internal departments to troubleshoot shipping and delivery issues and ensure timely delivery of product 

PRODUCTION AND QUALITY CONTROL

  • Daily communication with factories to troubleshoot production issues with fit, trims, fabric, or timing
  • Daily communication with Design, Embroidery, Wholesale, Ecomm and Logistics teams to ensure product needs are met at the production level
  • Manage Production TP building, submission and follow-through (including BOM, creation and analysis of graded spec, fit and construction comments, etc)
  • Manage Pre-Production and Top of Production sample approvals and upkeep of all production standards (including but not limited to: main label/care label and hangtag placement and diagrams, trim and construction quality, packing, etc)
  • Attend fittings and weigh-in on production feasibility of all items (fit, material, timeline, etc) 
  • Maintain systems to oversee Quality Control and ensure bulk goods meet design standards
  • Maintain accurate TP and grade rule library
  • Keep all material fabric, trims, components inventoried and organized properly to ensure full stock of all current season components to ensure timely delivery of orders
  • Build and maintain material/color standard library
  • Continuously assess existing supplier base and source new suppliers that offer competitive pricing, good quality product in line with margin requirements and order volumes. 

SYSTEMS & DATA MANAGEMENT

  • Style Creation and Purchase Order Data Entry/Maintenance for all finished goods and raw materials in inventory management system. (including but not limited to Sku creation, pricing, vendor setup)
  • Build and maintain seasonal/product budgets
  • Track and submit invoices
  • Track and analyze costing (with all applied components including trims, shipping/duty) to ensure margin targets are met/maintained
  • Manage order receiving and inputting all inventory into inventory management system
  • Continuously seek out areas of improvement throughout all systems (sustainability and ethics, supply chain, product management, profit margins, data organization, etc)                                                              

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in design, production, merchandising, or equivalent background
  • 4+ years of relevant experience within the fashion industry\
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills preferred
  • Proven track record of strong negotiating skills combined with a deep understanding of cost breakdown 
  • Experience with fully fashioned sweaters preferred
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
