We offer a challenging job in an enthusiastic and rapidly growing company with the possibility to further develop yourself. As aHR Business Partner you are responsible for the optimal functioning of all HR matters in your region. You report to the Head of HR Benelux.

What you can expect:

  • Supporting and advising the management in the implementation of personnel policy and advising managers about specific areas including absenteeism, collective agreements and working conditions;
  • Work with managers and leaders to inform the people strategy and discuss the challenges at hand with the HR Advisor to action any potential improvements and/or next steps;
  • Work together with management and personnel to solve conflicts and help facilitate positive employee relations, maintain a good working environment, build morale, and decrease unwanted turnover;
  • Provide guidance on people practices such as recruitment and succession planning; whilst being responsible for the recruitment and selection within your region;
  • Influence and build relations with people around the business;
  • Act as a local point of people expertise for specialist teams - at the head office and/or stores within your region;
  • Question and challenge others to get to the root of people and business issues;
  • Coach and provide feedback to key stakeholders to help improve efficiency;
  • Assisting employees in the fields of: collective labor agreements and conditions, pensions, social security and tax regulations.
  • Any other reasonable duties as per management request;


Your profile:

  • A relevant college degree;
  • Deep understanding for the retail and/or wholesale industry is a plus;
  • Excellent mentoring, relationship building and influencing skills;
  • Extensive communication skills and presentation skills on all levels and a high level of commitment;
  • A good understanding of the many disciplines within HR, including diversity and inclusion, performance management, compensation and benefits, talent management, employee and union relations, etc.
  • Ability to empathize with others;
  • Ability to work independently, a 'hands-on' mentality, able to set priorities and solution oriented thinking;
  • Team player, flexible, customer-focused, accurate, results-oriented and can work well under pressure;
  • Knowledge and/or experience with national and regional labour law, and tax and social security regulations;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in both Dutch and English, any additional European languages are a plus;
  • Computer literate, with a good knowledge of MS Office, especially Word and Excel;
  • Knowledge of SAP, Cobra and ProTime system is a plus;
  • Living nearby Amsterdam (within a radius of 30 km).
