Overview

SWIM USA is seeking a creative, self-starting and visual story-teller to join our marketing team as a Social Media Lead. This role is a 1099 Contract role. In this role, you will create, plan and post engaging content on our social media accounts as well as create thoughtful and creative content to support our marketing campaigns. Our ideal candidate is a social media enthusiast with experience in fashion, copywriting, graphic design, organic social media, influencer marketing, and digital content creation. Experience with organic Instagram is a must.

The ideal candidate possesses an eye for aesthetics and has a pulse on the ever-changing social landscape. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and evolve with the Social Media Department as it continues to expand across Swim USA brands.

Responsibilities

  • Create, plan, and post thoughtful and engaging content on organic social media for @miraclesuitswim on organic social beginning with Instagram with the opportunity to expand into (in order) TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest
  • Daily monitoring, engaging and community management of customer comments and questions
  • Follow the overall marketing calendar to align on 360 brand marketing campaigns
  • Finger on the pulse of the latest social media and industry trends
  • Propose new ideas & concepts for social media content
  • Using our NYC photo studio and equipment if necessary, shoot and edit organic and engaging video content
  • Plan, execute, and create creative content that tells a story for Reels, TikTok and static photos for social, newsletter, and website
  • Design and create aesthetically pleasing branded graphics
  • Master brand voice for brand consistency to build and maintain relationships on social media and content creators
  • Help build, develop, and manage influencer programs and partnerships and user-generated content (UGC) campaigns to grow brand awareness, social presence and generate compelling content
  • Communicate efficiently with influencer partners to capture relevant and intriguing content that promotes relevant marketing campaigns

  • Self-starting, resourceful and flexible team player
  • Must have the ability to adapt to brand-voices
  • Creative, witty, positive and sophisticated copywriting skills
  • Skilled at creating DIY content on iPhone for use on organic social
  • Knowledge of the female Millennial, Gen X and Baby Boomer demographic
  • Visual eye for graphics and exceptional attention to detail, including consistency, formatting, grammar, visuals, and brand adherence
  • Must be able to work independently and within a team environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or graphic design
  • 3 - 5 years of social media marketing experience, preferably within a fashion brand
  • In-depth advanced knowledge, understanding and best practices of Instagram
  • Understanding and familiar with TikTok, YouTube, Pinterst and Facebook
  • Proficiency in working with social media management platforms (specifically Planoly)
  • Knowledgeable of photography and videography for content creation
  • Experienced in photo and video editing for creation of Reels + TikToks
  • Experience working with design tools like Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Figma, Capcut and move
  • Experience working in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace

Working Conditions:

  • Part Time: Approximately 15 hours/week
  • Available on nights + weekends for posting and engaging with followers
  • Remote / Hybrid position
  • Preferably lives in the greater New York City Area
  • Occasional in person time in our NYC photostudio for ad hoc content creation
  • Available to come into the New York Office when needed for brand meetings or photo shoots
