Job Role:

Join our team at McQueens Flowers, where creativity blooms and attention to detail reigns supreme. We're seeking a talented Creative Designer to craft captivating pitches, and mood boards that embody the essence of luxury for our esteemed clients' installations and events.

While a floristry background isn't mandatory, we're looking for a quick learner who can immerse themselves in the world of flowers, seamlessly integrating seasonal nuances and practical considerations into their designs. Your educational foundation in a creative field, coupled with professional experience, will empower you to transform abstract concepts into breathtaking designs that enchant our clients.

As a self-motivated individual with a collaborative spirit, you'll work closely with our events and contract teams to bring visions to life. Whether independently or as part of a dynamic team, your designs will leave an indelible mark on every project.

  • Develop and conceptualize design briefs,ensuring alignment with client expectations and brand standards.
  • Create visually stunning mood boards and presentations that effectively communicate design concepts to clients and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to pitch design proposals and contribute to the development of marketing collateral.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design techniques to maintain a competitive edge and inspire innovation.
  • Conduct research on floral trends, materials, and techniques to enhance design feasibility and creativity.
  • Being innovative with design ideas, pitching brave and bold designs that our florists can deliver.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to source and select materials and floral arrangements that meet design specifications and budget constraints.
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, and industry events to foster relationships, gather feedback, and stay informed about client needs. (As required)
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including design briefs, mood boards, and project timelines.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including quality standards, health and safety regulations, and ethical practices.




  • A degree or diploma in a relevant creative field such as graphic design, visual arts, fine arts, interior design, or a related discipline is typically required.
  • Demonstrable experience and a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in conceptualising and executing design concepts, mood boards, and presentations, preferably within the luxury or events industry.
  • While not mandatory, a basic understanding or willingness to learn about floristry, including knowledge of different flower types, seasonal variations, and floral design principles, is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a creative role, preferably within a luxury brand, event management, or design agency setting, is highly desirable.
  • Experience with client-facing responsibilities and pitching design concepts is also beneficial. Software Skills:
  • Proficiency in design software such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or other relevant design tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills Attention to Detail Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and adhere to project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
