Join Burberry as our Knitwear Product Technologist specialising in babywear and childrenswear. Your role involves supporting the end to end process from sketch launch to delivery.   • Manage end-to-end process from sketch to garment delivery, ensuring yarn knowledge, quality control, and garment construction.
  • Measure garments, input fit comments, and technical specs into PLM system.
  • Maintain continuous communication with vendors.
  • Identify cost engineering opportunities.
  • Fit garments on models, assess alterations needed.
  • Evaluate garment fit, quality, and performance, managing associated risks.
  • Coordinate product testing with laboratories.
  • Track garment progress and attend cross-functional meetings.
  • Manage blocks, construction, and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with luxury-level quality attributes, standards, and safety regulations.


  • Education to degree level with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Product Technologist role is required.
  • Experience within a luxury brand is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with knitwear programming, such as Shima Apex 3, is desirable.
  • Demonstrated expertise in knitwear garment construction, including stitch techniques and finishes, is essential.
  • Proficiency in yarns and machine gauges is necessary. Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels are vital.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong literacy and proficiency in IT tools like Flex PLM, Word, Excel, and Outlook are essential.
