As Fabric and Trim Intern at our Paris Office you will Acne Studios is looking for an intern to join our WMW Fabric & Trims department. You'll be working closely together with the Fabrics and Trims team to develop collection materials. The work environment at Acne Studios is fast-paced and energetic; no day is ever the same. The Internship will be for 6-month.

You will report to Fabric & trim Manager. You will play a vital role in :
  • Assist the Developer with any developments and research according to Design team's expectations and company guidelines regarding price and sustainability.
  • Support with updating Material cards and boards and help facilitate the communication of raw material related info to the design, production, and quality teams.
  • Gather relevant information regarding materials in written and spoken communications with suppliers (lead times, prices, technical specifications, MOQ, etc)
  • Gathering and filing information such as technical sheets and admin systems relating to raw material data (PLM, Metrics)
  • Support with the organization of the Materials research archive and other organizational processes.
  • Assist in placing purchase orders for prototypes and following up on material shipments.
  • General support across the Fabric and Trims departments and everyday functionality of office procedures.

Specific personal qualities for this role:
  • Excellent language and communication skills, fluency in working English is a requirement.
  • Great interest in environmental and social responsibility within the fashion industry.
  • Reliable, ambitious, and eager to take own initiative.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Valid EU passport/VISA for the full 6 months of internship.

Specific experience and knowledge for this role:
  • A student in textiles or fashion with a focus on the textile specialism. School registration of the internship is mandatory.
  • Available for full 6 month duration of apprenticeship.
  • Basic knowledge of woven fabrics structures and techniques, general knowledge of trims materials and functions, and passionate about learning a creative and technical approach to woven fabrics.
  • Fluent in English
