Job Details

The Direct-to-Consumer Merchant Planner is responsible for the building and forecasting of global financials, inventory analysis and category strategies for Global Retail and Ecommerce divisions that drive toward the overall company sales and margin objectives.


  • Financial Planning and Forecasting for Global Ecommerce Sites and Retail Stores
  • Oversee development of monthly revenue and gross margin plans to support company objectives for Retail and Ecommerce channels
  • Manage digital and retail open to buy and forecast future pairs for production and finance
  • Reforecast sales, margin, and receipts on a monthly basis and identify risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams on key deliverables to mitigate risk and meet goals
  • Partner with Production, Marketing, Commercial and DTC team leaders to manage global inventory
  • Assortment Planning in order to align with sales and branding objectives
  • Proactively provide reorder recommendations and projections by channel
  • Lead the DTC markdown cadence in partnership with wholesale team, globally
  • Provide high-level action items and inventory transfers between channels / locations supporting global business objectives
  • Create pre-season assortment plans using historical and trend SKU productivity performance
  • Recap assigned product categories quarterly hindsight to drive future strategic inventory, profit, and assortment decisions
  • Roll up seasonal buys / sell throughs for all channels and present to management in monthly and quarterly reviews
  • Provide seasonal classification and category analysis by channel to identify voids and opportunities
  • Complete specific ad hoc analysis Assist with special projects as needed

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong Analytical and Business acumen.
  • Strong aptitude with numbers and clear understanding of retail math Business Management,
  • Reporting and Analytical background Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and relevant
  • Retail and Ecommerce Systems (Heartland, Shopify, Salesforce, etc)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively 5+ years of relevant experience in wholesale and retail planning, merchandise planning and inventory management  
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively Bachelor’s degree required
