  • Work with stakeholders across the company to ensure alignment on product goals and objectives
  • Lead and work with a team of commercialization and technicians to ensure product standards are well built and transferred for production quality and efficiency.
  • Extreme sizes and full sizes grading reviewing and approval with factory before production to mitigate potential technical risk in production.
  • Partnership with testing, production, QA and vendors for product and production risk assessments, and analyze product performance risks, collect and digest stake holder's feedback for production quality improvement.
  • Partnership with PD and vendors for alignments of grading standard and production process for on time delivery with quality
  • Review new style ideas in advance of handover for commercialization, foresee possible production problems, and work with TB and T1 technicians to resolve the problems
  • Manage progress of approved styles from handover through to full size approval, ensuring that agreed timetables for production startup are communicated effectively and achieved
  • Manage technical approval of new styles after the handover, ensure prompt and effective action is taken to resolve any problems during the process to ensure smooth production.
  • Approve pattern and component grading plan for new style, ensuring that the sample size design characteristics are faithfully represented in the full-size range of shoes intended for bulk production
  • Approve intended production process for new style, proactively working with QA on key quality control points and the quality control measures that will be used
  • Full size tooling review and approval
  • Establish shoe packaging methods and specifications that will prevent shoes from being damaged during transit and storage
  • Partnership with QA on cutting die trial, proactively working with QA team and vendors for any major production quality review for decision making.

  • 15 years+ technical or commercialization experience for footwear, with 5 years+ managing experience.
  • Solid and strong commercialization and technical experiences on different type of construction including dress, casual, rainboots and fashion sneakers.
  • Strong understanding of the FTW manufacturing process from product development to production.
  • Thorough understanding of shoemaking processes and shoe making machinery and tools.
  • Good understanding different tooling manufacturing and its characteristics.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing process and limitation of outsole/bottom components such as rubber, TPU,EVA etc,
  • Detailed knowledge of shoe construction test standards and material performance requirements
  • Thorough understanding of shoe fitting principles and standards, well understanding of pattern grading principles and practices.
  • Good knowledge of cementing systems and cement application processes
  • knows well about leather grading and leather cutting practices, knowledge of shoe finishing techniques
