YOUR OPPORTUNITY
As the Director of Zegna Nordstrom you will lead the Zegna-owned Nordstrom business overseeing the execution of the brand strategy, by setting direction, coaching, and developing the store teams, building succession plans, and participating in decisions related to the Zegna-owned Nordstrom business.

You will be based in NY and drive top line sales growth and service excellence in stores fostering long-term client relationships and representing the spirit of the Zegna Brand.

This role reports into the Head of Retail.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

Business Development and Sales Management
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive business and achieve sales targets for Nordstrom wholecession business.
  • Identify and maximize the business potential of each store and define actions plan to ensure target achievements. Engage and align with Nordstrom store and corporate leadership to facilitate execution of action plans.
  • Develop effective networking in all Nordstrom markets and share knowledge and understanding of local trends with Retail and Merchandising heads.
  • Define and propose adequate staffing for each store to Head of Retail
  • Understand Zegna performance versus competitor results/develop strategies by door to increase penetration. Partner with Regional Managers and Sales Managers in key doors to ensure effective execution of strategies.
  • Partner with Marketing to propose ideas to customize in-store events/initiatives.
  • Consolidate feedback on seasonal collection and share with merchandising team to improve localisation and effectiveness of the brand presentation.
Customer Understanding & Engagement
  • Ensure a true luxury customer experience across all Nordstrom doors, constantly nurturing a customer centric culture and "story telling" capabilities in store teams.
  • Identify and propose to the Head of Retail new opportunities for achieving bespoke customer service across all stores.
  • Coach Nordstrom staff and share best practices to improve customer relationship and maintain customer loyalty. Ensure the store teams are aware of and leverage client engagement tools.
  • In partnership with local CRM/Marketing referent, identify current and future customer Top Customers and develop retention and growth strategies.
Team Development
  • Coach and empower Nordstrom Regional and In-store Brand Managers to ensure growth and development.
  • Ensure succession planning for all Nordstrom doors through the identification and development of a talent pipeline.
  • Define area training priorities and ensure the appropriate training plan is implemented.
  • Share strategy, information and announcements clearly communicating Company/Region/Market priorities and projects.
  • Support Nordstrom management in attracting, recruiting and retaining high performing talent.
  • Enhance a sense of connection and engagement with the Zegna brand with all in-store employees.
Brand Presentation
  • Ensure Store teams are trained on Zegna guidelines to ensure that brand visual, product presentation and store image standards are maintained.
  • Ensure image and store experience (team grooming, music, video, food, and beverage etc.) are maintained up to Company standard.
  • Consolidate feedback on seasonal collection and share them with merchandising and buying team to improve localisation and effectiveness of the brand presentation.
WHO YOU ARE:
  • 2-4 years' experience in a leadership role within luxury retail and/or hospitability environments. Experience with Nordstrom's is a plus.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate direct reports and external sales teams.
  • Driven by providing meaningful, genuine, positive customer relationships.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to creatively drive business and implement strategies that drive revenue in alignment with the brand.
  • Possess excellent analytical skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  • The salary range for this position ranges from $170,000-$200,000 annually with bonus potential. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience.
