We are looking for a Senior Buyer to join our Womenswear RTW Buying team.
This role will report into the Head of Womenswear Buying and is offered on a full time, permanent contract.
What you will do
- Sets the vision and targets that drive the department forward, identifying what the customer wants with a clear understanding of how this differs by market and channel.
Ensure both you and your department deliver all critical path deadlines.
Use your expert knowledge of textiles/yarns, fit and quality to ensure COS quality and design standards are met.
Skillfully use COS buying methods to balance best selling products and new opportunities.
Manage the balance between long and short term planning, responsible for managing capacity, price, quantity and speed to market.
Use your experience of buying methods to successfully coordinate your department’s OTB.
Use creative strategic thinking blended with your eye for the right product to build the best assortment for the customer.
Offer the right balance of trends pieces, commercial newness and essentials for all typologies.
Use your wide knowledge of the competitor market place to ensure that the assortment offered is ahead of the competition.
Work closely with production and buying office team to ensure department profit margins are always met.
Accurately analyse and react to sales receipts ensuring all trade actions are taken swiftly.
Constantly follow-up and evaluate the department performance adjusting strategy to drive growth both in the short and long term, review and question budget for the season to maximize potential.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for
- An established buyer with previous managerial experience.
Experience in women's ready to wear preferably within wovens.
Business orientated with a great understanding of the brand.
Excellent eye for product and product development experience.
Ability to balance between short and long-term planning.
Strategically minded with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
