Job Description

JOB PURPOSELead and direct styling across Brand Content, E-commerce, events and retail, ensuring all styling is on-point, on-brand and inspirational

RESPONSIBILITIES

BRAND CONTENT

  • As a senior member of the brand experience team you will play a key role in contributing and developing editorial content ideas and product suggestions to support our collections across campaigns and brand content shoots (RTW, Acc’s, CHW and Beauty)
  • Lead and manage styling for Brand Content, meeting creative and commercial needs
  • Present styling direction and execution to senior leadership
  • Top tier campaigns: main point of contact briefing external stylists on styling direction, provide feedback, maintain strong relationships, travel when needed
  • Sign off on pre-styling and product suggestions for brand content shoots
  • Continuously review and evaluate ways of working from both a process and creative standpoint
  • Manage styling budgets
  • Provide team support on Runway activities when needed

ECOMMERCE  

  • Lead and manage styling for E.commerce across all categories ensuring all styling is accurate, on-brand, on-point and inspirational
  • Continuously review and evaluate ways of working from both a process and creative standpoint
  • Sign off on .com styling (RTW, Still Life and CHW)
  • Seasonal direction on model casting / hair and make-up for e-comm alongside Art Direction
  • Act as the link between the digital and physical ensuring consistency and a clear translation of key looks from showroom to .com to the final store experience for VM and windows

EVENTS / RETAIL

  • Oversee styling for events and activations and support on casting; including seasonal Collection Presentation with ability to travel regionally and overseas
  • Oversee and sign off on various guidelines, dressing, wardrobing and team allocation

PRESENTATIONS AND WORKSHOPS

  • Compile and present seasonal styling workshops for retail and wider teams, travel when needed
  • Present seasonal styling tutorial videos for internal use
  • Provide styling direction and support to merchandising teams for various presentations

TEAM DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT

  • Manage the Styling team across Brand and Ecom to support the development and execution of the broader strategy for Burberry
  • Mentor and develop the team using a supportive and collaborative approach on a consistent basis in line with the Burberry values
  • Promote a positive culture of high performance and continuous learning and improvement
  • Establish and monitor team performance and development, set objectives and establish priorities
  • Manage styling budgets and resource, planning and ensuring sufficient support during peak periods 

The Ideal Candidate

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Proven track record of working in luxury fashion, leadership in managing a team and top tier campaign shoots
  • Experience in managing styling of complex, multi-stakeholder projects and achieving goals on time and to budget
  • Demonstrate strong relationship building skills within all levels of a business, as well as external stylists and stakeholders
  • Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong planning and organisational abilities
  • Unwavering creative eye for styling, product and fashion
  • Ability to be nimble and efficient to feedback
  • Solid understanding of latest fashion and industry trends
  • Role requires mobility, travel required
  • Flexible working hours when needed
