About Us

Maker & Haberdasher.

Drake's was founded by Michael Drake in 1977 in London's East End, a stone's throw away from London's silk weaving roots in Spitalfields and our current home on Haberdasher Street.

With a collection of 'Scarves, Shawls & Plaids' the company found a loyal following amongst both high fashion boutiques and conservative tailoring houses in the most discerning markets of Paris, Milan and Tokyo. Handmade ties and pocket squares soon followed. After a decade alongside Michael Drake, today's collections are overseen by creative head Michael Hill.

Our commitment to the finest raw materials and authentic processes remains at the heart of everything we do. As well as artnering with the world's greatest mills and makers, this philosophy is best illustrated through our own factories in London and Somerset.

Layer upon layer of manufacturing know-how has fostered an environment that guarantees a consistency of production and detail, as well as the ability to innovate and evolve.
