Job Description

As the Art Director for our Marketing Creative Studio, you will play a pivotal role in our creative vision, partnering closely with the Creative Director to lead art direction for the Farfetch brand. Managing Senior Art Editors and a Creative Producer, you’ll define our marketing experience through the power of imagery and design, capturing the eye of our customers across all our channels. The ideal candidate will bring an exceptional taste level, customer centricity and a love of luxury fashion; you’re motivated by leading a team, dedicated to creating revolutionary, contemporary art and a world-class digital experience.

What you’ll do:

 Lead,   manage   and   coach   a   team,   ensuring   they’re   engaged   and   motivated   toproduce creative imagery and design to the highest standards

 Provide development support so that your team are always learning and have afulfilling career

 Co-manage the homepage on a weekly basis, receiving daily updates on design

 Manage the approval process for our app’s and email designs. 

 Spearhead the research and development of projects and creative talents

 Work with the Art Editors on shoot briefs; selecting the team, preparing hair andmakeup briefs, and monitoring the running of the shoot day

 Co-lead on seasonal shoots; from art directing the shoots to final layouts Help develop a talent pool of creatives for us to work with

 Work on content planning for the Home page

The Ideal Candidate

Who you are:

 Strong people leadership and management experience, with proven success leading and managing a diverse team

 Strong digital / fashion experience.

 Proven previous experience art directing fashion photo shoots in the luxury fashion industry.

 Strong industry knowledge of creative talent – photographers, stylists, etc.

 Excellent senior stakeholder management skills, able to manage competing priorities

 You have advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign & Sketch

 Video editing skills (Premiere & After Effects) are a bonus

 You have an understanding of HTML and CSSYou have a flexible and solutions focused approach to work and enjoy working as a part of a team

 You have excellent communication skills and high attention to detail

 You are able to work flexible hours when required
