Job Description
A-Cold-Wall* is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Junior Designer to join our Design Team. The Junior Designer will be an integral member within the Design Team, contributing to retail collections, capsules and collaborations
Role/responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Supporting the design manager with seasonal research
- Organise and maintaining online and hard copy research files for each season/project
- Assisting in sourcing of fabric and trims from local suppliers
- Supporting the design manager with design development/cad work
- Creation of technical sketches across multiple product categories
- Creating and maintaining tech pack across multiple product categories
- Research and design work for studio special projects as/when required
- Creating and maintaining cads/tech packs for studio special projects as/when required
- Assisting in fittings to take clear and detailed notes for amendments, updating technical sketches as required
- Ensuring required documents are fully prepared in advance for all design meetings
- Assisting in design meetings to take clear and detailed notes and share post-meeting with all involved
- Management of design interns
The Ideal Candidate
- 2-3 years relevant design experience within the luxury menswear sector
- 2:1 Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or Technical Garment construction
- Technical understanding of sewing and garment construction
- Comprehensive research experience - Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for fashion and creative industries
- Team player who takes initiative and can handle fast-paced environment
- Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
