Job Description

Celebrating our legacy of modern fashion, creativity, individuality, and intrigue by providing every guest with unparalleled customer experience. We are currently seeking a Director, Digital Experience at our corporate office in New York.The Director, Digital Experience will oversee the Digital Experience team, serving as a primary partner to the larger Digital Marketing, Merchandising, Web Design, Product, Development, Analytics, Marketing/PR, and Merchant teams. This role is integral in shaping our online customer experience and determining strategic, aligned content in digital communications.Responsibilities:

  • Thought leader on the Digital team, working closely with senior leadership to guide feature enhancements for Barneys.com, BarneysWarehouse.com, and the Barneys New York apps
  • Partner with the Product team to manage prioritization of Digital Experience feature sets, strategically establishing roadmaps and impactful business cases with Analytics
  • Lead and oversee the digital communications strategy across site marketing and mobile marketing
  • High degree of thoughtful and analytics-based recommendations and executions for the complete digital customer experience
  • Devise appropriate cross-channel efforts and communication streams that most effectively align internal plans and support the needs of the business
  • Oversee complex personalization strategies, utilizing informed data points to develop advanced decisions and testing thought leadership
  • Develop and maintain successful vendor deliverables, with continuous relationship management and capabilities assessment
  • Oversee channel performance contribution to the bottom line
  • Provide leadership to direct reports, proactively developing team members within the organization and setting up opportunities for success
  • Stay abreast on competitor activities and industry developments to inform the business

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Strategy or related field
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, or equivalent
  • Exceptional understanding of consumer behavior, trends, and market analysis
  • Advanced cross-channel business acumen
  • Demonstrated depth of UX experience, communications strategy and content marketing decisions in a retail environment
  • Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills
  • Highly proficient with Web Analytics and system integrations; strong knowledge of HTML
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a team
