Job Description

We are looking for a highly organised Finance Assistant to join Everpress in our East London studio. You'll be primarily responsible for supporting and managing key elements of the financial and operational accounting aspects of Everpress, reporting directly to the COO.


Daily Finance Operations

- Invoice management including approval and maintenance of monthly invoice procedures and sub department support to ensure accuracy and consistency within the management accounts

- Manage weekly payment runs and supplier account

- Manage credit control

- Process expense reimbursement through Receipt Bank

- Assist finance administrative tasks and ad hoc projects as needed including logins set up, raise invoices, credit notes

Management Accounts

- Complete monthly closing procedures and account reconciliations

- Manage monthly bookkeeping including journal entries

- Prepare Bank and credit card reconciliation

- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, including follow-up of fixed assets and preparation of accruals

- Assist with the monthly and in year-end closure

- Assist the accounting agency in the preparation of books and files for audit and declaration of VAT and payroll taxes, including compliance with payment deadlines

Financial Planning & Processes

- Ensure accounting operations including accounts receivable and payable are functioning efficiently

- Support the business in the control of working capital

- Control and forecast cash and cost management

- Develop and implement accounting processes and procedures to strengthen internal controls, gain efficiencies and standardise business practices

The Ideal Candidate

- 1-2 years of relevant experience in finance, ideally within small-sized retail / fashion business.

- Strong excel skills (pivot tables, v lookups, sum ifs…)

- Proactive, enjoys seeking information and results-driven

- Strong communicator with strong presentation skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details and accuracy
