The Manager of Strategic Projects - Global Retail Channel (GRC) will be responsible for supporting Executive Director (ED) of Strategic Projects on key retail initiatives. The focus of this role is to support the formalization and ongoing development of the GRC capability to prioritize and help develop critical retail capabilities for Brands, Regions, Affiliates and Support Functions of the Estee Lauder Companies (ELC). The strategic focus of the GRC is foundational capabilities such as retail systems, best practices/tools, people/ resources and reporting of retail channel performance
o Support ED of Strategic Projects, Retail Channel Captain and Retail COE (Center of Excellence) in articulating ELC’s evolving goals for the retail channel and identifying and developing the capabilities needed to support these goals
o Provide analytical, project management, and presentation support for annual strategy sessions, Retail Sponsors meetings, and other strategic meetings as needed
o Work with functions, geographies, and brands to identify their evolving retail capability needs and develop plans to address these needs. In particular, work closely with leading retail brands to help enhance their capabilities and establish best-practices which could be leveraged by other ELC brands
o Support ED of Strategic Projects, Retail Channel Captain and Retail COE in implementation of specific retail operational recommendations in partnership with other key stakeholders
Retail Business Intelligence & Education Support
o Perform research (interviews, literature searches, analysis) and develop retail best practice case studies in response to priority business intelligence needs; regularly present this best practice material to appropriate audiences at ELC
Project Office Support
o Coordinate Retail Sponsors meeting, Retail COE meetings and Weekly Project Update meetings
o Ensure all preparatory materials and agenda items are addressed
o Interface with retail leads in advance of meetings to outline expectations

The Ideal Candidate
- MBA from top-tier business school with 2-3 years of pre-MBA experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm or investment bank or retail operating experience
