About the Role

The HR Team at Monica Vinader is focused on delivering a Customer Obsessed service and experience to both potential candidates and our employees all over the world. Reporting to the Head of HR, you’ll be responsible for helping develop this experience for our employees in the UK, USA, Hong Kong and Singapore with a focus on our Retail and Operations teams. You will be involved at all stages of the employee life cycle, providing timely and credible advice in line with policy, process and our Values. The role will also have an HR functional focus, contributing to, and leading on, local projects which will support in creating a culture where our people thrive and grow. You’ll be a proactive, progressive HR generalist, with solid experience in employee relations and providing exceptional advice to the business. You’ll have worked in a fast-paced environment, have excellent relationship building skills, and an innovative and positive approach.

Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Lifecycle of our Retail & Ops teams

  • You will be the first point of escalation for our Office & HR Co-ordinator, escalating to the Head of HR when necessary.

  • You will be responsible for supporting our Office & HR Co-ordinator with the on-boarding process for new joiners and will seek and provide continuous feedback to enhance the employee onboarding experience

  • You will assist with local processes at employee level as per the HR team calendar e.g. annual performance process, salary review etc

  • You will monitor employee probation check ins and expiry and coach leaders to hold probation meetings as and when necessary, addressing any performance concerns efficiently.

  • You will contribute to and lead on various HR projects with a focus on Employee Welfare and Benefits

  • You will lead on analysing and reporting HR data, to provide insights and recommendations on how we can continue to improve our employee experience.

  • You will manage the off-boarding experience, providing data-driven insight into leaving trends and suggesting recommendations to retain our top talent

Recruitment

  • You will proactively work with our Recruitment Manager to support attracting and selecting talent e.g. assessment days, suggesting how to manage Recruitment Campaigns and seeking out new ways to promote our brand in the external market.

Employment Relations

  • You will provide quality and professional advice to employees on general queries and issues, in line with Company policy, process and procedure

  • You will be responsible for creating and updating policies, templates and toolkits to support HR processes in all our global locations

  • You will manage a high volume of employee relations cases e.g. performance, welfare, absence, and partner with/escalate to the Senior HR Manager for more complex cases

  • You will keep on top of employment law and share any learnings and updates with the HR Team

The Ideal Candidate

About You

Key Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in a generalist HR role

  • Experience of operating in a retail environment is essential

  • Strong experience in dealing with Employment Relations cases

  • Proactive, with an ability to problem solve and comprehend issues in the context of the bigger picture and business impact.

  • Able to build trusted relationships with all levels of the organisation.

  • Knowledge of USA/Hong Kong or Singapore employment law and practice would be a nice to have but not essential.

Educational Qualifications

  • Educated to Degree Level

  • CIPD qualified or working towards the qualifications preferable

Additional Requirements

Ability to document your authorisation to work in the United Kingdom

Mobility Requirements

Regular travel to our Retail Locations and our Norfolk Office
