Job Description

The Coordinator of People and Development supports the implementation of broad-based People & Development initiatives including: change management, employee relations, talent management and succession planning, leadership and organizational development, employee engagement and recognition, talent acquisition and onboarding and performance management.

  • Partner with the Ralph Lauren L&D team to support employee development through mapping of both current and new programs to organizational needs, especially those to a remote population.

  • Builds strong relationships with P&D Managers and Coordinators to ensure all best practices are leveraged across the division.

  • Responsible for assisting with direction of compliance for all federal and state employment practices. In partnership with team, manage all leaves of absences, processing of paperwork, SAP Organizational Management & Personnel Administration in line with HR Administration, Payroll, Benefits and HRIS policies and procedures.

  • Manages the FMLA and LOA communication and process for Wholesale

  • Owns conducting all Exit Interviews for all Manager and below employees.

  • Assisting with compensation review and administration.

  • Actively participate in the end to end employee lifecycle for an identified employee population (hire to retire)

  • Ensure a consistent and successful on boarding employee experience for all corporate new hires. Support and create onboarding plans with leadership as appropriate.

  • Support with employee relations and performance management matters.

  • Manages SAP HCM responsibilities for the business.

  • Works with P&DG’s and OM to ensure all organization management data is accurate.

  • Responsible for global metrics reporting & analysis, and determining trends that impact business success.

  • Actively identify drivers of employee turnover and implement best practices to retain top talent. Advocate for initiatives that will positively impact the employee population. Project Manage initiatives to ensure seamless delivery.

  • Provides employee coaching and counseling on all policies, procedures and practices to all levels of employees.

  • Responsible for owning the Open Position requisition process end to end. Will partner with business and Talent Acquisition to ensure Open Position report is accurate.

  • Monitor and support Wholesale shared drive to ensure all information is accessible to P&D team.

  • Actively participates on all global People and Development project teams

The Ideal Candidate

  • 4-year college degree preferred in HR, Business, Behavioral Science, or a related field.

  • 2-5 years experience in HR or equivalent.

  • Exhibits a strong customer service focused approach and has ability to build and maintain relationships with employees and management across all levels and functions in an organization.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Highly proficient in MS Office software, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP and Visio.

  • Experience with HR metrics.

  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.

  • Strong organization, prioritization and multi-tasking skills in a fast paced, high pressure environment.

  • Demonstrated sound judgment skills - ability to assess risk and take appropriate action.

  • Experience with performance management processes and tools.

  • Knowledge of basic employment law, policies, processes and programs to include FMLA, ADA, FLSA, HIPAA, OSHA, EEO, etc.
