Job Description

This role is responsible for developing state of the art demand planning and process capabilities, in alignment with the supply chain strategy. This role will also develop innovative, forward-looking process capabilities, as well as leading edge technologies, while being accountable for process performance KPIs that support business metrics (e.g. forecast value added in support of forecast accuracy).

  • Lead the plan transformation programs and business improvement capabilities related to demand planning processes, statistical and ML models, and advanced analytics
  • Support Global Head of Demand Planning business lead in executing and supporting change and improvement programs that support overall demand planning business objectives
  • Act as a mentor and educator across global and regional teams to build needed competencies related to demand planning and broader supply chain / commercial practices
  • Work as a bridge between the Plan organization and IT, translating business needs and capabilities to the technology requirements; also own external vendor relationships for stat modelling / ML vendors directly
  • Perform process audits to measure process maturity, and develop strategy to advance process and people capabilities in Demand Planning teams
  • Own learning programs that support Demand Planning organization maturity or upskilling; partner with Region CoEs to develop and deliver local programs for Demand Planning and commercial stakeholders
  • Collaborate with global Master Data organization to ensure the quality of the data inputs into Plan meet standards
  • Work with different organizations (Marketing, Sales, Finance, etc.) to improve overall quality of data as inputs into the planning process
  • Develop partnerships with technology and advisory consulting firms to build thought leadership in the Plan organization
  • Partner with centralized BIA team to develop and leverage cross-functional analytics to improve plan performance

The Ideal Candidate

Breadth and depth in demand planning with significant skills sets in other supply chain planning areas (supply planning, IBP, material planning)

Understanding of leading edge and innovative technologies and business practices to support business capability transformation including concurrent planning, statistical modelling / ML, and advanced analytics

Analytical, with a deep understanding of performance metrics

Leadership skills with ability to nurture talent and strong presence with supply chain and commercial business leaders

Ability to leverage internal and external networks with peer groups to bring new and fresh ideas to the Plan organization
