Account Manager

This position plays an instrumental role and the candidate acts as an ambassador for their clients. The Account Manager works to bring a professional, motivated and diverse skill set to complement and grow the Agency. They have a strategic approach to PR, the capacity to quickly earn the trust of their clients and have strong relationships with a wide range of fashion and lifestyle media, both in the print and digital arenas. 

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Build and grow new relationships with media contacts while fostering already existing relationships

  • Organize and attend seasonal press events, store openings, collection launches and organize press trips

  • Attend client meetings, develop case studies and advise clients on all communication activities while developing and maintaining a relationship with trust between the client and the Agency

  • Manage 3-5 key accounts
  • Plan, implement, develop and execute successful PR Annual strategies and plans
  • Write press releases and create unique and compelling story angles

  • Secure strategic press coverage including brand features as well as product placement in top national, regional and online media outlets
  • Ability to create and deliver informative, well-organized reports and presentations to clients
  • Assess, manage and monitor budgets and project expense with a drive to excel will be highly regarded

  • Extremely well organized, methodical and efficient

  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong communication, management, and organizational skills are essential to succeeding in this role
  • Solid understanding and insatiable interest of consumer trends in fashion, design, hospitality and beauty industries

  • Strong written communication and presentation skills to effectively articulate idea and pitch stories
  • Experience managing a roster of brands and leading strategy
  • Bachelor’s degree required in related field

  • Minimum of 3-5 years PR experience, in an account management position
  • Able to independently manage projects and day-to-day activities

  • Strong knowledge and expertise in industry related matters, and ability to service and communicate with a wide range of fashion, lifestyle and beauty clients and influencers
  • Possess strong press / market editor contacts in print and online

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask with ease

  • Ability to take initiative and perform tasks in a self-sufficient manner
  • Good business sense and ability to work within budget
