Job Description

Primary Purpose: The Senior Director of Communications is responsible for the planning and execution of media, communications, celebrity and events strategy. Working in close partnership with leadership team, they will devise and implement creative communication strategy, elevate brandawareness, visibility and positioning. This individual will oversee Coach PR teams in the UK and France and manage regional agencies and teams across all markets.

  • Elevate brand awareness and positioning
  • Develop and implement creative market-leading PR strategy inclusive of both traditional/digital media, bloggers, social and VIP influencers across all territories
  • Oversee in-house PR teams in London and Paris, ensuring clear alignment of company messaging, directives and strategy
  • Oversee regional PR agencies in all markets, ensuring clear alignment of company messaging, directives and strategy
  • Lead, develop and mentor internal PR teams, empowering existing talent to deliver excellence and strategic coherence in a results driven environment
  • Act as an ambassador for Coach, maintain and elevate key media and VIP relationships
  • Oversee all media related events
  • Develop and run corporate communication to enhance the brand’s reputation with key internal and external stakeholders, as well as the city
  • Work in partnership with distributors in key regions to identify and implement PR strategies that align with global image and build on brand awareness in their specific territories
  • Work with cross-functional partners globally and locally to ensure territories press coverage increases brand revenue
  • Oversee PR budget

The Ideal Candidate

The accomplished individual will possess...

  • Minimum 10 years Public Relations and Communications experience within a luxury brand environment
  • Proven experience in developing successful strategy for global luxury brands
  • Experience in managing external agencies
  • Exceptional network of industry contacts and relationships
  • Excellent relationships with VIP and social media Influencer individuals and agents across regions
  • Solid experience in corporate communications
  • Track record of motivating and leading a strong team to success across various territories
  • Highly engaged in the industry – instinctive, embedded and culturally aware of current trends and events
  • Ability to fuse creativity and logic
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and work in a fast paced environment
  • Proven people leader with the ability to manage and build cross-functional partnerships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative, entrepreneurial and results driven
  • Team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Flexibility to travel for work

  • European language skills. Fluency in English, French and Spanish - all other European language skills are seen as a plus
