Job Description

We are looking for a Social Media and Digital Content Co-ordinator who can inject the Mother of Pearl point of view into every piece of content that we publish and maximise all digital channels.  The Social Media and Digital Content Co-ordinator will report into the Head of Communications and play a key role within the team to ensure smooth implementation and maintenance of our social media marketing strategy in line with PR and Marketing campaigns.  We are not just another fashion brand, and want this to come across in every piece of content that we publish. The ideal candidate will have solid experience working in social media and digital marketing in the luxury fashion industry and have a proven track record of demonstrating exceptional knowledge and understanding of the whole spectrum of the social media landscape and have experience across community management, influencers, and UGC.  The Social Media and Digital Content Co-ordinator will be able to toe the line between creative and commercial. It is imperative that strategic thinking and data backed decision-making is applied to all strategies with a view to increasing sales for Mother of Pearl, ensuring brand values are always incorporated.

The Ideal Candidate

Core Responsibilities

  • Create and implement social media strategies to support ecommerce, communication & retail strategies. Long-term, seasonal and product-specific strategies required.
  • Drive impressions, engagement, site visits and sales through on-brand digital content
  • Working closely with Brand Manager to determine messaging and narrative for content, and brief in copy requirements incorporating data-lead learnings and best practise 
  • Act as ‘social media’ brand guardian by monitoring & responding to customer comments in accordance with company guidelines and work on building the Mother of Pearl online community
  • Research and curate trends as well as trending topics that will be relevant to our audience
  • Ensure content from social media calendar is posted accurately across all platforms
  • Suggest and implement tactics to drive growth on all social media platforms 
  • Analyse data and metrics to inform decisions 
  • Working closely with communications team to ensure the brand maximises content creation at all opportunities
  • Staying on top of, and proactively sharing trends in social media and the wider digital landscape
  • Deliver and optimise against all agreed social media KPIs

The Ideal Candidate

  • An understanding of social metrics and the ability to interpret data into actionable insights and learnings
  • A love for and knowledge of the fashion industry, interest in sustainability is strongly preferred 
  • At least three years of professional experience working in social media and digital marketing
  • Familiarity with platforms for scheduling, reporting, publishing and analysing social media
  • Experience working with Adobe Photoshop
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of a 24-hour news cycle
  • A natural communicator – confident in presenting ideas to different parts of the business
  • An excellent organiser who can multitask and prioritise multiple projects and deadlines
  • Can work under pressure, with the ability to be reactive and flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with SEO
