Job Description:

The Rake, a market leading e-commerce platform and sartorial magazine for men, is looking for a CRM Manager to assist its rapid growth. The role will report to the Marketing Director and will be responsible for all CRM & VIP activity for The Rake. 

The Ideal Candidate

Key Responsibilities:

- Managing the overall CRM strategy (Email/Newsletter, Push Notifications, VIPs/VIRs) at The Rake

- Managing the Newsletter/Email marketing calendar and strategy

- Managing the VIP/VIR (Very Important Rake) programme at The Rake

- Implementing Email Marketing automation e.g. abandoned cart, welcome series

- Responsible for owning the client database and using advanced segmentation to uncover areas of opportunity based on user behaviour

- Using this segmentation data to plan email campaigns

- Implementing greater personalisation in email campaigns

- Developing strategies to encourage inactive and lapsed users to transact on the site

- Managing the customer & VIR database to ensure its accuracy, as well as implementing a new CRM platform in the business 

- Responsible for the growth of the overall email database, with marketing team support

- Responsible for improving retention and increasing Customer Lifetime Value

- Weekly and monthly reporting on key CRM KPIs e.g. email performance (open rate, click through rate, traffic, revenue etc) and key VIR KPIs (total growth of VIR channel, ATV increase, rate of sale increase, decrease of inactive and lapsed clients)

- Optimise the capture of data through online and offline channels

- Implement a test and learn strategy for new digital marketing initiatives

- Work with developers to improve the quality of newsletters, including the development of new templates

- Expand the development of the push notification channel (from app) in the business

Ideal Candidate:

Experience:

- 2-3 years’ experience, ideally in a similar CRM role

- A proven track record of successfully implementing CRM strategies that drove growth in an e-commerce business

- Experience with Mailchimp

- Experience with CRM/Marketing automation tools e.g. Bronto, Emarsys, Ometria, Salesforce etc

- Experience with Magento 2 and RapidFlow

- Experience with Google Analytics and advanced reporting

- Ideally, but not compulsory, experience in a fashion and/or general e-commerce retailer  

Skills:

- Strong analytic skills, including advanced excel skills, to be able to effectively segment the client database

- Strong organisation skills and an ability to work within a fast paced, growing business

- Strong commercial acumen to understand macro and micro sales performance and ensure that the CRM strategy is driven by commercial objectives

- Ability to understand and appropriately convey The Rake’s visual aesthetic and tone of voice through email and push notification communication channels
