Job Description:

The Rake, a market leading e-commerce platform and sartorial magazine for men, is looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to assist its rapid growth. The role will report to the Marketing Director and will be responsible for managing the strategic and day-to-day paid marketing activities of The Rake in the digital space.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for managing the digital agency daily across Ad Words, Google Shopping, GDN and Paid Social activity

- Responsible for daily shopping feeds management (Google Shopping & Criteo)

- Responsible for implementing and executing the remarketing strategy (currently run through the Criteo and GDN platform)

- Responsible for implementing and executing the affiliates program (currently run through the Rakuten platform)

- Responsible for updating weekly the paid social advertising content

- Responsible for compiling weekly and monthly the paid digital marketing reporting

- Responsible for creating new brand ad groups weekly for google ad words

- Responsible for managing paid digital marketing budget and reporting on this weekly and monthly

- Responsible for providing ad hoc assistance to merchandising and content teams across image re-sizing, web page merchandising etc

- Responsible for identifying industry best practice across paid digital marketing

The Ideal Candidate

Ideal Candidate:


- 2-4 years’ experience in a similar performance / digital marketing role

- Experience managing paid digital marketing activity

- Ideally, but not compulsory, experience in a fashion and/or general online retailer


- Very strong excel skills

- Strong understanding of Google Analytics

- Advanced knowledge and experience of google ads manager and facebook business manager

- Knowledge and experience of display platforms e.g. GDN, Criteo

- Knowledge and experience of affiliate platforms e.g. Rakuten, Click Junction

- Understanding of Google Shopping feeds


- Passionate about menswear

- Passionate about online retailing and digital marketing
