POSITION SUMMARY

The CK Licensing Merchandising Director works closely with ADF (Latin America) & Baseco (Mexico) to ensure the global vision translates through a cohesive regional product assortment while maximizing sell-thru. The Director will own and operate the merchandising responsibility in Mexico and LATAM, independently representing the CALVIN KLEIN brand in these regions for both Men’s and Women’s categories.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee merchant across all Men’s and Women’s apparel & accessory categories (Calvin Klein, Calvin Klein Jeans, and Calvin Klein Underwear) to support and guide the CALVIN KLEIN brand representation in Mexico and Latin America
  • Partner with Licensing Business Team on international licensees’ strategy and financial forecasting
  • Liaise with Design, marketing, Store Planning, Visual Merchandising, and product divisions (in-house & licensed) to develop seasonal direction based on store type (Calvin Klein, Calvin Klein Jeans, Calvin Klein Underwear, Outlet)
  • Attend line adoption meetings to represent licensee regional needs
  • Analyze buy strategies: work alongside international licensees to ensure their seasonal buys reflect a balanced and appropriate assortment across product lines, price point, fashion, and channels of distribution
  • Spearhead supplemental SKUs to meet regional needs (ie warm capsule needs); leverage international licensees to meet minimums
  • Identify product opportunities for incremental growth
  • Analyze sales by region, category, classifications and best-sellers; follow-up on key factors to improve sales
  • Maintain order recap of buys
  • Market Visits as necessary
  • QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

    Experience:                

  • 10+ years in licensing, retail preferred
  • Previous experience in or supporting a Latin America business preferred
  • Education:                   4-year College Degree

    Skills:   

  • Change agility

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Fluency in Spanish (strongly preferred)
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of organization
  • Strong product and branding sense
  • Experience with international markets
