Job Description

SUMMARY

The Vice President of Global Communications is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of media, communications, celebrity and events aligned with the overall company objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:  

• Direct all communications initiatives for Carolina Herrera New York to drive brand awareness through all channels

• Develop, execute and manage comprehensive press strategy for fashion, business, news and editorial platforms 

• Create and oversee all branding partnerships and special projects that align with business and brand objectives; oversee all branding events

• Develop and execute comprehensive communications directed at driving sales in retail and wholesale outlets 

• Identify creative opportunities with new campaigns, partnerships and communications with a specific focus on the digital landscape to support brand exposure and sales growth

• Drive commercial and brand thinking to reach identified goals for on and off line press generation

• Function as liaison with fragrance division and license partners to align communications branding strategy 

The Ideal Candidate

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 10-15 years’ experience in communications, PR, and digital marketing in luxury ready-to-wear or accessories industry

• College education required, preferably in Marketing/Communications or similar

• Strong managerial, interpersonal and relationship building skills; collaborative approach with ability to liaise across all levels of the organization

• Excellent project-management, organizational and analytical skills; able to work as a team as well as handle projects on his/her own

• Should be proactive and resourceful with hands-on approach

• Keen eye for detail with strong aesthetic and taste level

• Knowledge of Spanish is a plus 

• Strong computer skills (MS Office)
