Job Description

PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE:

Director with the primary responsibility for effective Marketing Programs that will achieve sales and NOP targets, while improving brand awareness and protecting the brand equity in multi channels including Prestige Department Stores, Mid-Tier Department Stores, Specialty Multi and FSS within North America.

  • Develop channel specific marketing initiatives for North America including retailer specific programs, as well as on line initiatives and CRM (select accounts).

  • Develop comprehensive event strategy in select accounts and create tools and visual elements to ensure proper execution in store (select accounts).

  • Develop, plan and execute all counter communications programs and direct marketing initiatives for all accounts in North America

  • Lead execution of pricing strategies adhering to the global brand pricing architecture and corridors established. Assessment at the local level to determine future cadence.

  • Lead analysis of key product categories within market to uncover opportunities for innovation for North America.

  • Strategic planning, forecasting and management of all non-saleable programs.

Direct Communication Programs

  • Direct Make Up Artist Counter Communications Program; Including the development of Retailer Exclusive Communications and Beauty Alerts.

  • Manage and maintain Bobbi Brown Intranet, including: development and design changes, bi-monthly updates for Sales Department and follow up with all departments (Education, Artistry, Marketing, PR and Community Outreach) to ensure timely updates.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Partner with Global Functional Teams to develop plans for retailer specific events and promotions. Provide guidance on executing Retailer Specific and Counter events to meet retail goals/competitive challenges.

  • Partner with Global Marketing & Education to improve the training and execution of all events and Workshop Programs. Collaborate on new ways to enhance the execution and reinforce the implementation of goals and execution guidelines.

  • Partner with Global Marketing and Product Development on North America specific product requests/needs.

  • Forecast and manage all of the non-saleable programs; preview samples, launch unit updates, customer loyalty programs, and sampling. Oversee allocation process and timing.

  • Analyze retail performance of marketing initiatives, competitive activity, and market trends to identify opportunities.

  • Review, edit and approve all content, layout, copy and placement.

  • Manage all seasonal & retailer exclusive needs.

  • Develop retailer specific merchandising enhancements to maintain brand equity.

  • New Door Openings

  • Manage New Door Openings, ensure all appropriate programs have been allocated; tester units, testers, visuals and NDO package.

  • Develop and create a New Door Opening Package for the field (RSD & AE) to use when presenting the Brand to the new door.

  • Plan and organize Seasonal Retailer Planning Meetings; coordinate seasonal information, book makeup artists, room setup, develop, order & arrange retailer gifts. Attend select retailer meetings and presentations.

  • Develop and coordinate Holiday Information Kit for AE’s to deliver to each Bobbi Brown Counter. Working with the field, assess the information needed to ensure that the Bobbi Brown Holiday Program can be easily and effectively executed at store. Kit should include; Holiday Merchandising Guidelines, Holiday workshop, Holiday Container direction, Gifting Ideas, Post Holiday evaluate.

  • Managing 3-4 direct report; Assistant Manager, Manager level, North America Marketing

The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum Education Level: College Degree

  • Requires 8 years of relevant work experience

  • Strong interpersonal and computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with a high level of detail

  • Excellent time-management skills
