Job Description

Position: LaForce is currently seeking an Account Coordinator. In this position you will be responsible for helping to coordinate various aspects of programs/ projects and reporting, sample/product trafficking, maintaining up-to-date and accurate media lists, and providing administrative support to the team. You will also take part in a number of training opportunities throughout the year within the office environment.  This is a non-exempt position.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Budget/ Expense 

  • Baseline understanding of expense management for assigned program elements

Administration

  • Coordinates travel logistics, as directed
  • Responsible for preparation and execution of all meetings, meeting materials, event and travel logistics
  • Responsible for gathering receipts and submitting team expenses to Accounting
  • Assist with planning team welfare activities (ie: birthdays, outings, etc.)

Program/Project Coordination

  • Conducts media audits via extensive research and provides thoughtful recommendations
  • Monitors media and reports on client news and trends
  • Qualifies and maintains media lists
  • Executes daily media monitoring and reports on client news and trends
  • Tracks media placements and tags / uploads coverage on Cision for all relevant accounts
  • Identifies opportunities via media monitoring
  • Executes sample/ product trafficking for relevant accounts
  • Coordinates distribution of product samples/fulfillment of product requests
  • Executes program tactics under supervision, i.e. events, mailings, vendor management
  • Maintains product inventory in an orderly manner
  • Maintains vendor database, tracking grids and client contact sheets
  • Participates in brainstorms
  • Understands appropriate protocol for internal agency departments (i.e. Digital, Accounting, HR, IT, Graphic Services)

Client Management

• Maintains status reports, agendas and recaps 

• Responds to all appropriate client requests promptly with enthusiasm and accuracy

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelors degree with internship experience required
  • Developing presentation skills and delivery skills
  • Accountable for knowing account deliverables and deadlines
  • Ample interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Demonstrates initiative and ability to “take the next step”
  • Possesses ability to identify issues and develop solutions
  • Motivated, ambitious and actively working to take on tasks outside of scope
  • Desire to learn about all areas of the business
  • Able to handle a busy workload, prioritize and be flexible
  • Demonstrates understanding of media (outlets, terminology, editors, reporters, photographers)
  • Strong attention-to-detail, organization and time management skills
  • Proficient with all relevant software programs – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Cision, Fashion GPS
  • Understanding of industry trends
