Job Description


LaForce is currently seeking a Senior Account Executive within our Global Brand Team.  In this position you will be responsible for daily management of client programs as well the day-to-day communication with clients.  This individual will need to operate with a high degree of independence and demonstrate consistent strategic thinking across programs and team management.  The Global Brand Team are a group of generalists with strong experience in CPG, consumer technology, spirits, design, lifestyle and quick-service restaurants.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Budget/ Expense Management

  • Monitors, maintains and routinely applies understanding of program and project budgets


  • Primary resource for higher-level writing (key message documents, briefing books, Q&A for executives, etc.)
  • Delivers all written material including press releases to supervisors for review client-ready
  • Advanced writer - skilled in editing and composition

Media Relations

  • Proven ability to consistently deliver meaningful/robust placements for clients in major media outlets
  • Established ability to analyze and evaluate media coverage as it relates to client positioning/reporting
  • Proactively seeks unique media opportunities for clients 

Program/Project Management

  • Assists in and contributes to the development of strategic plans for annual programs
  • Accountable for successful program management and execution—moving programs along while ensuring junior staff stays on task
  • Skillfully drafts program recap and highlight documents
  • Supervises activity/ status reports     
  • Develops and maintains timelines for multiple, simultaneous projects
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of structure, resources and protocol of all internal agency departments (i.e. Digital, Accounting, HR, IT, Graphic Services)

People Management

  • Supervises coordinator (s)/ junior account executive(s), and account executive(s) as applicable
  • Effective management and supervisory skills
  • Demonstrates positive influence and creates motivating work environment for junior team members 

Business Management /Development

  • Actively recognizes and pursues new business opportunities  with existing clients
  • Contributes to the development, presentation and implementation of new business programming for potential clients
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm for team growth (i.e. new business opportunities)

Client Management     

  • Develops and sustains professional and positive relationship with client contacts
  • Robust participant in client meetings
  • Articulate; contributes informed suggestions, strategic thought and opinions as well as creative and effective answers to client issues and needs
  • Responds appropriately and immediately to client requests and concerns, keeps clients informed of the status of projects
  • Proactively anticipates and addresses client needs

The Ideal Candidate

Skills, Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Bachelors degree with 4 plus years of agency experience
  • Advanced knowledge of media and media relations
  • Capable of handling a wide range of projects with a high degree of independence and sound judgment
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Able to balance competing priorities
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Reaches beyond current scope-of-work
  • Actively thinking of clients’ social media objectives; well-versed in social media with a solid understanding of trends and platforms and how they pertain to clients’ PR programs and campaigns
  • Consistently keeps up with industry trends and informs the team
