Job Description

Freelance position for PR and Marketing position, this job is based in Los Angeles. Candidate needs to have contacts and connections in Los Angeles. 

  • Facilitate daily incoming press requests to secure high quality coverage across both print and digital media
  • Work directly with wardrobe stylists to solidify product placement opportunities for each brand
  • Conduct digital and celebrity influencer outreach and product seeding
  • Oversee all gifting and sample inventory and coordination
  • Foster new and maintain strong press and industry relationships
  • Manage organized system to track all image permissions and usage rights
  • Vet opportunities that make sense for NISM and its designer collections
  • Lead the execution of the brand strategy
  • Establish measures of success and methods according to which assess the performance of our brand strategies and delivery in order to optimize results. 
  • Support the growth and development of NISM marketing strategies and language
  • Develop opportunities to optimize and increase the reach of NISM
  • Work closely with, communicate and present creative with all key team members
  • Deliver assets in the correct format and on time
  • Understand the voice and objectives for NISM and develop compelling content with a consistent tone of voice across all materials, including but not limited to: Project proposals, presentation decks, client communications, email blasts, video content and voice overs. 
  • Develop compelling content for our designer collection lines
  • Drive Marketing and PR campaigns, as well as outreach, that are in line with overall Brand Strategy.
  • Create and deliver a strategic PR plan in line with brand values and collection story. 
  • Development and execution of feature stories, placement, editorial reporting and analysis 
  • A skilled writer, comfortable developing content for a variety of purposes (emails, Q&As, statements, talking points, or media pitches).
  • Support the execution of events and activations in line with your communications and brand strategy
  • Responsible for key projects throughout the year.
  • Oversee fee and sponsorship negotiations.
  • Prepare and manage asset delivery, including other production needs on own projects
  • Manage the PR, logistics, media attendance and editorial coverage for all events.
  • Ensure all creative assets of the events are approved and on brand. 
  • Work with multiple teams and agencies to execute brand strategies
  • Help develop and manage all contract negotiations in relation to communication and marketing initiatives.
  • Help develop relationships with influencers and negotiate contracts with influencers
  • Assist showroom team with celebrity seeding
  • Analyze results and evaluate activities quantitatively and qualitatively.
  • Negotiate contracts and budgets
  • Monitor each project and requests.
  • Report and prepare summary document per project, including KPI’s / ROI.

  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience
  • Candidate needs to be based in Los Angeles
  • Strong men’s fashion press contacts 
  • Strong VIP and stylist contacts
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Highly efficient, detail oriented and organized with the ability to multi-task and work across many projects at once
  • Pro-active, self-motivated, can operate independently while also being a good team player
  • Events experience
  • Adobe, Excel and Word proficient

Language skills

  1. English, Native or bilingual proficiency
